The most natural solution to missing teeth

Losing a tooth can feel devastating and it is only natural to want to find the most aesthetic and long-lasting solution possible. At Gaskell Avenue Dental Care, we’re pleased to be able to offer dental implants to replace missing or badly damaged teeth courtesy of our highly-skilled dentist, Jonathan Eaton.

Dental implant treatment consists of a precision titanium fixture placed in the jawbone, which acts as the replacement tooth root. These fixtures are specially designed to promote bone growth around them to ensure long-term stability, once this has occurred an artificial tooth can be fitted onto it using a custom made abutment. During the treatment you will be placed under local anaesthetic so you will not feel a thing. You will probably be a bit sore for a few days after, but Jonathan will give you plenty of advice on how to manage this with appropriate painkillers.

Dental implants allow patients to enjoy the ability to eat, drink, speak and smile with confidence again. They are the most natural solution to missing teeth and if they are looked after carefully they can last a lifetime. This is why; over time, dental implants are also a very cost effective and economical method of treatment.

Free implant consultation for people with missing teeth

If you have missing teeth and would like to explore whether dental implant treatment could provide the right solution for you, then contact us to book a free, no-obligation consultation. This will give you the perfect opportunity to meet Jonathan, our implant dentist who is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons, and ask plenty of questions before committing financially.

If you then decide that dental implants could be for you, we would follow this up with an extensive consultation, which would involve dental X-rays or possibly a jaw CT scan in order to create a full and accurate treatment plan that is completely tailored to you.

Unstable dentures solution

Dental Implants can also provide a solution for unstable dentures

We can offer denture wearers the chance to stabilise loose dentures, involving as little as two dental implants. Implant retained dentures transfer bite forces to the jawbone bone, with no pain or pressure to the gums. Your ability to chew food will improve greatly. Also a less restricted and more varied diet will provide you with better nutritional value leaving you feeling healthier and happier.

Advantages of implant retained dentures include:

  • A stable and secure fit, so no more wobbly dentures.
  • Improved taste and speech with less denture base
  • Restored chewing ability with greater enjoyment of food
  • Less denture base covering the roof of your mouth
